About The Position

Littelfuse is seeking a Senior High Voltage Electrical Test Engineer to join their state-of-the-art high voltage lab. This role is responsible for testing and evaluating the performance of cutting-edge circuit protection devices for a variety of applications. The engineer will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and collaborate closely with a team of talented engineers to develop the latest advancements in circuit protection device technologies across both automotive and emerging industries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (5+ years of experience)
  • Deep knowledge of electrical circuit design and data acquisition with specialization in power electronics and/or programming.
  • Ability to test, diagnose and repair various electrical setups and circuits.
  • Hands-on experience in operation of oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
  • Ability to identify and implement efficient paths of action to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to operate well independently or as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced knowledge in MS office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • High attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of PLCs and related software

Responsibilities

  • Develop test plans, procedures, and protocols for cutting-edge new and existing circuit protection devices for a variety of applications.
  • Execute high-voltage electrical and short circuit tests to evaluate performance, safety and durability of fuses and other circuit protection products.
  • Analyze and interpret test data and waveforms and create comprehensive test reports.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical feedback to product development teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve testing methods.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on the test equipment, maintain safety procedures, update risk assessments and operating procedures for the high voltage labs.
  • Lead the design/implementation of any improvements in the high voltage labs along with being the technical expert for ongoing initiatives.
