About The Position

A2e Technologies is seeking a Sr. Hardware Design Engineer with expertise in Signal Integrity and FPGAs. This is a contract position with the potential for permanent employment, located in San Diego, Ca. The role requires experience designing complex digital boards with high-end SoC type FPGAs from Altera, Xilinx, or MicroSemi, and proficiency with high-speed signals and devices such as USB, 10G Ethernet, DDR4, and Gigabit IOs on FPGAs. The engineer will also be responsible for power supply design for high-end microprocessors and FPGAs, and possess signal and power integrity experience with simulation tools. Experience with Altium and EMC certification is also required. Military and Space Design experience is considered a plus.

Requirements

• Experience designing complex digital boards with higher end SoC type FPGAs from Altera, Xilinx, MicroSemi
• Experience with high speed signals and devices (USB, 10G Enet, DDR4, GigaBit IOs on FPGAs)
• Power supply design for high-end microprocessors and FPGA
• Signal and Power Integrity experience and simulation tools
• Experience with Altium
• US Citizenship or Green Card Holder Only

• EMC certification experience
• Military and Space Design experience
