This is an opportunity to join a trailblazing BESS (Battery Energy Storage) company backed by top-tier private equity, leading the charge in utility-scale energy storage development, execution, and operations. They have a rapidly expanding national footprint, and double digit GW portfolio including one of the largest fleets of grid-connected standalone battery storage assets in the country. They're looking for a Sr. Energy Storage Commissioning Engineer and Project Leader to join their EPC team and own the technical engineering, construction oversight, and commissioning execution for utility-scale BESS projects across designated regions. This is a unique role that combines deep cross-functional technical engineering with hands-on project delivery. You'll oversee the design, construction, and commissioning of BESS projects in partnership with third-party engineering firms and EPC contractors. You'll review and negotiate interconnection agreements alongside the Transmission and Interconnection teams. You'll lead RFQ/RFP development with procurement, work directly with utilities and consultants, and travel to project sites throughout the construction and commissioning lifecycle. If you've built high-voltage systems for renewable energy grid infrastructure projects, lived through utility energization timelines, and want to apply that experience to manifest the future of the grid for generations to come...this role was built for you.
