About The Position

Lucid is seeking a Senior Global Supply Manager to manage global sourcing for assigned commodities and work, supporting various vehicle systems. This role involves maintaining component timelines and assisting with purchasing throughout the company. The Senior Global Supply Manager will identify, evaluate, and manage strategic suppliers of Vehicle Software, including infotainment systems, ADAS systems, and Connectivity systems. They will develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, act as the primary point of contact for suppliers, and resolve issues related to commercial, product quality, delivery, and performance. The role also involves driving cost competitiveness through negotiation, analyzing supplier performance and market trends, and developing and negotiating comprehensive contracts with suppliers. Additionally, the position requires providing updates to stakeholders, identifying supply chain risks, developing KPIs, creating RFQs, and handling purchase requisitions, purchase orders, licensee reports, and invoices. Travel of 15-25% is expected to visit suppliers for business and program reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Finance discipline required
  • 5+ years minimum Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering experience with electronics
  • Experience with developing strategic partnerships with SW suppliers
  • Significant experience with creating and managing contracts (e.g. GTC’s, MSAs, ESOWs)
  • Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve, as well as work independently on multiple tasks or projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of resilience to deal with urgent requests, and minimal information. Works well with various teams.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Passion for results, strategy, and hands on execution. Creative, calculated risk taker with the ability to manage complex suppliers and resolve disputes while preserving relationships with suppliers and internal staff.
  • Strong written and verbal skills as well as organizational and program management capabilities.
  • Proficient in Excel, Power Point, Word, JIRA, Confluence, ERP systems (SAP or equivalent)
  • Ability to mitigate unforeseen problems creatively and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage strategic suppliers of Vehicle Software, including infotainment system, ADAS system, Connectivity system
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and continuous innovation in Vehicle Software and ADAS technologies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers, resolving issues related to commercial, product quality, delivery, and performance.
  • Drive cost competitiveness by negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value without compromising quality or safety standards.
  • Regularly analyze supplier performance and market trends to ensure costs remain competitive and aligned with market conditions.
  • Develop and negotiate clear, comprehensive contracts with suppliers that define deliverables, timelines, payment terms, performance metrics, and penalties for non-compliance.
  • Ensure that contracts include provisions for intellectual property, quality assurance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work with legal and procurement teams to review and finalize contracts and agreements.
  • Provide timely and transparent updates to stakeholders on supplier performance, product availability, and project timelines.
  • Proactively identify potential risks in the supply chain, including product delay, price volatility, and geopolitical factors.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, cost, and innovation.
  • Create RFQs, review, analyze, and clarify quotations from suppliers and develop sound sourcing and business recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead-time and technical considerations
  • Handle PR, PO, licensee report , invoice
  • Travel 15-25% to visit suppliers to perform business and program reviews
