About The Position

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise. Global Engineering & Operational Standards (GEOS) sets the engineering design and operational standards that KLA's global facilities run on. Our team spans mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls, systems, and process engineering disciplines, working across every region to keep KLA's cleanrooms, labs, and server rooms running safely and reliably. As the Sr Global Process Engineer, you will take deep, named ownership of process utilities, including CDA, vacuum, exhaust, process cooling water, DI water, and LN₂, across KLA's worldwide portfolio. You will serve as the technical lead for process utility design, installation, and validation, and you will set the global design requirements and specifications that the process discipline operates to. This role rounds out KLA's MEP design bench alongside our Mechanical & Thermal, Electrical & Power Resiliency, and Instrumentation & Controls disciplines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated experience designing, installing, and/or validating process utility systems (such as compressed dry air, vacuum, exhaust, process cooling water, DI water, or specialty gas systems) in a lab, cleanroom, or industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Experience evaluating complex, variable technical factors and communicating effectively with stakeholders across teams and organizational levels
  • Ability to travel occasionally to support global sites, as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing global design standards or specifications across multiple regions or sites
  • Familiarity with semiconductor, life sciences, or advanced manufacturing facility requirements
  • Experience mentoring or advising cross-functional engineering teams
  • Working knowledge of capacity/load modeling tools and methods.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead for process utility design, installation, and validation, including P&IDs, isometrics, submittal review, metering, and commissioning
  • Set global design requirements and specifications for the process discipline across all regions
  • Support load modeling and capacity master planning for process utilities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation & Controls engineering, to ensure integrated, reliable facility design
  • Collaborate with regional site teams, contractors, and vendors to maintain consistent process utility standards globally
  • Evaluate variable technical factors on complex issues and build strong working relationships with key contacts across the organization.
