Requirements

  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in Canada.
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Strong initiative, innovation, and commitment to technical excellence.
  • Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to train and mentor young professionals.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in writing proposals, technical reports, and general project correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Project Manager and Technical Lead for multi-disciplinary teams on civil/geotechnical engineering projects.
  • Undertake highway and railway geohazard engineering, including assessments, investigations, instrumentation, design, tendering, and construction administration.
  • Manage civil and geotechnical engineering projects for water supply/management, power generation, and mining clients, covering assessments, investigations, instrumentation, analysis, and designs for rehabilitation and removal of dams and appurtenant facilities, tendering, and construction administration.
  • Perform dam safety assignments for civil and mining dams, including dam safety reviews and inspections, annual performance reviews, and instrumentation data reviews.
  • Build and maintain client relationships and engage in business development activities to expand the company’s service offerings.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team environment that supports career development.
  • Travel within western and northern Canada, primarily Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories, and Yukon Territory.
  • Oversee and complete field assignments.
  • Work additional hours when necessary to meet project timelines.
