About The Position

The Sr. Gas Operations Compliance Specialist ensures Exelon Utilities complies with its Operational Technology Security Governance program (OTSGP), Transportation Security Administration (TSA) cybersecurity directives for identified operational technology field devices, and applicable utility procedures, standards, and requirements. The role evaluates and reports on compliance programs involving cybersecurity for process control devices and pipeline-related requirements, including DOT, PHMSA, and PSC programs. It develops and conducts internal assessments, identifies improvement opportunities, and supports the Exelon Corporation compliance program while providing oversight to the line organization.

The specialist serves as the business unit point of contact for OTSGP and TSA compliance and regulatory matters. The role involves assessing compliance, recommending corrective actions, developing procedures to address identified inadequacies, tracking mitigation plans, and advising management on strategic direction. It also includes coordinating with subject matter experts and other Exelon operating companies, supporting and participating in audits, and representing Exelon Utilities on selected committees. The position generally operates with wide latitude in action and decision-making.

The position may require extended hours, including 24x7 coverage during storms and other energy delivery emergencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field and 5–8 years of experience in any combination of gas operations, regulatory, legal, or financial disciplines; alternatively, 9–12 years of relevant business experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and determine compliance requirements associated with OTSGP and TSA cybersecurity directives and apply problem-solving approaches.
• Knowledge and use of computer systems and applications, including Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Passport.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and experience with utility regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, practices, and engineering principles.
• Knowledge of process control systems and incorporating Management of Change practices into cybersecurity compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, track, and report on Exelon Utilities compliance programs related to cybersecurity for process control devices, including OTSGP and TSA cybersecurity directives, as well as pipeline-related DOT, PHMSA, and PSC compliance programs.
• Conduct annual self-assessments for each applicable standard, coordinating kickoff and challenge meetings with subject matter experts and key managers, gathering information and signoffs, and posting documentation to an evidence or artifact storage location.
• Evaluate and report utility compliance with procedures, standards, and requirements; recommend enhancements to practices and procedures to support continuous improvement and a culture of compliance.
• Create mitigation plans and monitor progress through action tracking and timely updates.
• Ensure required OTSGP and TSA cybersecurity compliance work is initiated in the Work Management system, performed using procedures, tracked in systems, and supported by documented completion evidence.
• Analyze and support leadership on OTSGP and TSA cybersecurity compliance, including reporting on performance improvements, organizational initiatives, and compliance communications.
• Maintain knowledge of cybersecurity controls and directives affecting gas operational technology systems and devices under OTSGP and TSA directives.
• Lead or participate in compliance audits, plan and execute audit tasks, support audit teams, and compile evidence packages.
• Represent Exelon Utilities on selected committees to support benchmarking and continuous improvement, and participate in standards review processes.
• Recommend corrective actions and assist in developing procedures to address inadequacies identified during assessments.
• Act as a liaison to the Exelon OTSGP team and TSA on compliance issues, track related activities, and advise key Exelon personnel on strategic compliance direction.
• Collaborate with other operating companies to promote consistency and alignment across cybersecurity programs.
