About The Position
CGI is seeking to hire an experienced Software Engineer to design and develop scalable enterprise applications supporting Contact Center and Workforce Management (WFM) technologies. The ideal candidate is a strong full stack engineer with hands on experience in Java, Spring Boot, React, REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. This is a Full-Time, On-Sight opportunity located in Plano, TX.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience, preferably in full stack engineering.
- Strong hands on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and React.
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
- Knowledge of event driven architecture and RDBMS/NoSQL databases.
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and secure engineering practices.
- Strong problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Contact Center and/or Workforce Management (WFM) technologies.
- Knowledge of IVR, CTI, SIP, WebRTC, routing, or omnichannel technologies.
- Experience with Apache Kafka or similar streaming platforms.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with JUnit, Jest, Playwright, or React Testing Library.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or similar AI assisted development tools.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and REST APIs.
- Build scalable microservices, distributed systems, and event driven solutions.
- Integrate applications with Contact Center, WFM, and enterprise platforms.
- Develop secure, resilient, and highly available solutions.
- Contribute to technical design, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and engineering best practices.
- Support applications through deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams in an Agile/Scrum or SAFe environment.
- Leverage AI assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and quality.
