The duties of a Full Stack Engineer require a high degree of specialized expertise and skill in maintaining established standards of quality and accuracy. At the same time, it will be necessary to give subordinates structured opportunity to develop their own expertise and capability for quality work to assure effective delegation and shared responsibility for work output. It is expected that coaching and training support for achieving effective delegation will be required. The position encompasses a defined span of control and opportunity for someone who engenders trust, demonstrates a sense of urgency and assures consistent achievement of quality standards. The work requires making decisions that support company guidelines authoritatively and quickly.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
5+ years of experience in full stack development with proficiency in multiple programming languages such as JavaScript (Node.js, React, Angular, etc.), preferred in a bank setting.
Strong understanding and application of software engineering best practices, including SOLID principles, design patterns, and coding standards.
Ability to refactor codebase to improve readability, performance, and maintainability.
Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Proficiency with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and ORM technologies.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience writing unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure code reliability and stability.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Familiar with Agile methodology

Responsibilities

Designing, developing, deploying, documenting, and maintaining web/mobile and backend services.
Mentoring junior team members.
Collaborating closely with product, design, and architecture teams to translate business requirements and user interface designs into robust code components.
Converting product requirements into detailed solution designs, implementing, testing, delivering, and maintaining these solutions while ensuring comprehensive documentation.
Independently triaging and resolving errors and defects, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
Assessing technical feasibility and estimating feature complexity as driven by product priorities.
Conducting user interface, design, and code reviews, advocating for and promoting best practices and standards.
Working closely with team lead, product owner, business analysts, UX designers, architecture, quality teams delivering product features and priorities.
Actively researching and evaluating emerging technologies and potential new product features, contributing to the reduction of technical debt and measuring the success of delivered features.
Serving as the primary point of contact for specific product areas and maintaining general awareness of other areas.
Adhering to company policies and procedures, completing administrative tasks punctually, and supporting the company’s goals and values.
Participating in disaster recovery planning.
Fostering positive relationships with colleagues, treating everyone with respect and consideration regardless of their position.
Fulfilling additional duties as assigned.
