Sr Full Stack Customer Data Developer
About The Position
Tailored Brands is seeking a Sr Full Stack Customer Data Developer to join its Tailored Technology team. The role designs and delivers scalable, end-to-end full-stack solutions, leading development across React/Next.js front ends and Java/Node.js back ends, with an emphasis on performance and maintainability. The developer collaborates cross-functionally to build data-driven systems using Snowflake and cloud technologies and promotes strong practices in code quality, optimization, testing, and agile delivery. The position develops and optimizes Java services, APIs, databases, Node.js services, responsive user interfaces, and Snowflake data pipelines and queries. It also contributes to advanced data processing with UDFs and Snowpark, performance improvements, code reviews, and continuous improvement across Agile engineering practices. The position follows a hybrid schedule: work at the corporate office in Houston, Texas, Tuesday through Thursday, and remotely Monday and Friday. Hours are regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates. The role includes extended computer work and other stated physical demands.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 8 or more years of total related experience.
- 8 or more years of experience building scalable, enterprise-level back-end systems using Java, such as Spring Boot.
- 4 or more years of experience with React/Next.js, including state management, hooks, component-based architecture, and responsive design.
- 4 or more years of experience developing server-side applications with Node.js, including RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and transactions.
- 2 or more years of experience leveraging Snowflake for scalable data warehousing, including complex SQL queries, UDFs, and data pipelines using Snowpark and DBT.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Expertise in designing and consuming RESTful APIs, working with third-party APIs, and ensuring secure and efficient data flow across services.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mocha, or PyTest, and a strong focus on test-driven development for back-end and front-end code.
- Proficiency with Git, including branching, pull requests, and managing large codebases.
- Experience working in Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Visual acuity, speech, hearing, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment.

- Familiarity with Redis, BigQuery, and Vertex AI.
- Experience with AI-assisted design and architecture, AI-augmented development, and intelligent code review and quality engineering.
- Ability to use AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or domain-specific AI tools to accelerate system design, generate architecture patterns and sequence diagrams, and recommend scalable solutions across microservices and data platforms.
- Ability to use AI-powered coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, documentation, code reviews, and vulnerability identification.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop scalable, performant full-stack applications across React/Next.js front-end and Java/Node.js back-end components.
- Build and optimize Java-based back-end systems, including microservices, APIs, and databases, for scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Develop dynamic, responsive, interactive user interfaces with React/Next.js and clean, modular code.
- Design and implement efficient, event-driven, scalable Node.js services with high availability and performance.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines and queries using Snowflake SQL, DBT, and GCP/AWS Dataflow.
- Build UDFs and use Snowpark for advanced data processing.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver software solutions.
- Participate in peer code reviews and promote software development best practices, including testing and deployment.
- Optimize performance, including database queries, and address scaling issues to handle increasing load and traffic.
- Participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives, and contribute to continuous improvement in engineering practices.
