Job Summary: Join the SIS 2.0 team of Cat Digital and be responsible for performing front-end software development, regular problem solving, maintenance and support for this mission critical application. The main tech stack needed is React, Vue.js or Node.js and HTML, CSS.

Requirements

Effective Communications: Extensive Knowledge of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Working Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Software Development: Extensive Experience with software development and ability to produce systems in line with product requirements using Vue.js, Node.js, and React.
Software Development Life Cycle: Working Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace.
Software Integration Engineering: Working Knowledge of software integration processes and functions; ability to design, develop and maintain interfaces and linkage to alternative platforms and software packages.
Extensive hands-on experience writing quality and safe code in React, Vue.js or Node.js and HTML, CSS.
Extensive hands-on experience writing code in distributed systems (Azure or AWS Cloud)

Nice To Haves

Extensive experience manually troubleshooting code and deploying code using Git, Github actions and Azure CI/CD pipelines.
Strong experience writing complex SQL queries and proven experience with MSQL.
Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints
Passion for new technology
Some experience with generative AI applications

Responsibilities

Designing, modifying, developing, writing and implementing software programming applications for target system using agile methods.
Writing source codes for new applications, and/or generating and enhancing code for existing applications.
Perform testing and maintenance using Caterpillar’s SIS (Service Information System) approved tools.
