About The Position

The Freight Logistics Coordinator manages end-to-end logistics operations, oversees vendor and carrier relationships, and leads process improvement initiatives to ensure cost-effective, timely, and compliant movement of goods. This role is critical in supporting international and domestic logistics, resolving escalated issues, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field + 4 years of experience in customer compliance and/or logistics, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field + 2 years of experience in customer compliance and/or logistics, OR
  • Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field, OR
  • JD/PhD in Business, Engineering, or related field, OR
  • In lieu of degree, 6+ years of experience in customer compliance and/or logistics.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management, business operations, and resource planning, including strategic planning, customer service, production, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage third-party vendors, including tender creation, contract negotiation, and coordination.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing shipping and customs documentation for domestic and international freight, ensuring compliance.
  • Proficiency with logistics and transportation management software, including implementation, optimization, and analytics.
  • Proven ability to resolve complex shipment discrepancies or delivery issues, collaborating with carriers, internal teams, and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate end-to-end logistics operations, including scheduling, documentation, and compliance for domestic and international shipments.
  • Oversee vendor and carrier management, including contract negotiation, performance evaluation, and resolution of escalated billing or service issues.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize transportation routes, and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and company policies, and support audits or regulatory reviews as needed.
  • Mentor junior team members, provide training on best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
  • Ongoing analysis of industry and operational data providing continuous improvement opportunities.
