SR Floor Supervisor

Logistics Insight Corporation (LINC), a subsidiary of Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc., is a leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider offering a broad range of supply chain services. Through an experienced management team and advanced technology, LINC delivers customized logistics solutions that drive efficiency and measurable value for its customers. This position is based in the Detroit, MI area, supporting General Motors operations within a high-volume warehouse focused on pick and pack, sequencing, inventory management, and material flow. We are seeking a motivated Floor Supervisor to provide daily leadership to warehouse employees while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and customer expectations are consistently met.
Requirements
- 2+ years of leadership experience in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain operations
- Previous experience leading hourly employees in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, material flow, inventory control, and productivity metrics
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coach employees, drive accountability, and build effective teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
- Valid driver's license required
Nice To Haves
- Experience in automotive or high-volume operations preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations and provide direction to hourly employees
- Lead and support pick and pack, sequencing, shipping, receiving, and inventory activities
- Ensure customer requirements and production schedules are achieved safely and efficiently
- Monitor productivity, quality, attendance, and overall employee performance
- Train, coach, and develop team members while reinforcing operational expectations
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with company and customer standards
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, and labor planning to support business demands
- Monitor inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts and inventory control activities
- Identify operational issues, develop corrective actions, and escalate concerns when necessary
- Maintain a strong floor presence and support employees throughout the shift
- Communicate effectively with management, customers, and support departments
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, quality, and cost reduction
- Complete daily reports and operational documentation as required
