About The Position

Join Solidigm’s Data Center Engineering Team to develop new firmware for Solid State Drives (SSDs) across a portfolio of advanced 3D-NAND and SSD technologies. The role involves applying embedded architecture, external-interface, and product-constraint knowledge to create architectures and features that meet platform needs and deliver new value. The team works with storage interface standards such as NVMe, PCIe, SATA, and SAS and uses Agile development methodologies. The position requires close collaboration and communication with local and global team members and engineering stakeholders. The Firmware Engineer develops and maintains product source code, analyzes specifications, tests and debugs firmware, and partners with hardware and ASIC design teams on low-level firmware and system architecture. The role spans multiple firmware disciplines and SSD architecture, translating product requirements into development and validation plans while supporting product quality, team accountability, and continuous improvement. Successful candidates demonstrate professional partner communication, strong written and presentation skills, initiative, multitasking, influence, leadership, and experience contributing to teams or feature development through the product lifecycle.
