The Sr. Fire Protection Project Engineer is responsible for implementing engineering projects, including Construction Documents, Coordination with other disciplines, Permitting, Bidding and Construction Administration in accordance with client requirements and code. This role ensures a high level of quality assurance on the product, such as Construction documents, specifications, and RFI responses. The individual will research, develop, and stay updated with the latest designs in coordination with vendors, senior engineers, and online resources. They will meet with the Project Architect and Project Manager to discuss design scope, schedule, budget, phasing, site issues, and design review issues. This role involves estimating discipline man-hours, serving as the main point of contact for projects with clients, contractors, and consultants, and ensuring coordination with architectural and engineering disciplines. The engineer will oversee the design and production of engineering construction documents and specifications, maintain company and client standards, anticipate and resolve issues, provide ongoing quality control, and perform peer reviews. They will also oversee project budgets, communicate owner revisions and RFIs, assist in representing the client's interests, provide customer service, and mentor and train engineering designers. Additional duties may be required.
