About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a finance business partner to Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other business partners. The role provides analysis, reporting, and insights on profitability, spending, and financial performance for an assigned business area, supporting planning, forecasting, and month-end reporting while identifying opportunities to improve margin, control costs, optimize spending effectiveness, and achieve sales and profit objectives. The Senior Financial Analyst independently performs Financial Analyst responsibilities and takes ownership of one or more of Crayola’s largest or most complex areas as a primary Finance partner. The position leads annual planning and mid-year forecasting, prepares executive-ready financial reporting, supports business decisions and negotiations, prepares year-end accruals and reserves, works with auditors, and coaches Analysts and Coordinators. The position is based in Easton, Pennsylvania.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
Minimum of four years of related finance or accounting experience.
Demonstrated ownership of a full Plan or forecast cycle and ability to build and defend assumptions with business and Finance leadership.
Proven experience presenting financial results and recommendations to senior management.
Working knowledge of accrual accounting and ability to prepare audit-ready support.
SAP experience.

Consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience.
Customer finance or manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Lead preparation of the annual Plan and mid-year P1/P2 forecasts for the assigned area, and review and report monthly activity against Plan.
Own one or more of Crayola’s largest or most complex areas and serve as the primary Finance partner.
Prepare executive-ready P&L, margin, cost, and driver-based forecast reporting for senior management, negotiations, and business decisions.
Prepare year-end accruals and reserves, analyze trends, and interface directly with auditors.
Collaborate on post-event ROI analysis and ensure monthly activity is properly reflected in SAP and related reporting systems.
Coach Analysts and Coordinators, review their work for accuracy, and serve as a back-up to the Finance Manager as needed.
