How you will make an impact: Our Commercial and Operations Finance function is responsible for providing oversight and support for our fast-paced, innovative and global sales teams. By leading activities such as strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, pricing and close exercises, while leveraging analytics, forecasting and reporting skills, you will help shape the commercial success of our business areas for senior leaders and the sales teams. You will develop a robust skill set as part of this fast-paced function by interacting with a broad number of internal business partners and building organizational capabilities to drive profitability & customer satisfaction. The Sr. Financial Analyst works closely with senior leadership teams as a business partner providing guidance in support of financial and operational goals. This role’s primary area of support is Global Payroll, partnering closely with payroll leadership while also collaborating with broader Corporate Functions as needed. The position requires strong collaboration with business and Finance colleagues across global sites to help drive the organization’s success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and related work experience with in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Income Statement and Balance Sheet and demonstrated career progression.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in a finance role providing financial analysis to drive key business decisions in a multinational, matrixed organization
  • Experience supporting payroll, workforce costs, or shared services finance strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including interaction with senior leaders.
  • Ability to operate independently and prioritize effectively in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills working with global teams, driving accountability and process improvements
  • Strong business acumen as well as the ability to make logical assumptions, identify trends, incorporate external and internal information, and effectively benchmark results against appropriate baselines
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with strong sense of accountability and ownership
  • Willingness to dive into details to find answers and solve problems
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, excellent verbal / written communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to easily move between strategic discussions and tactical finance topics/execution, as well as working with ambiguity and new concepts

Nice To Haves

  • MBA and/or CMA / CPA / CFA preferred.
  • Experience supporting payroll, workforce costs, or shared services finance strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Finance partner supporting Global Payroll, providing day-to-day financial guidance and context in managing operating budgets
  • Provide day-to-day finance support and context to corporate teams, with a primary focus on payroll-related expenses and workforce costs
  • Carry out financial close activities, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of transactions, and identify key variance drivers related to payroll and operating expenses
  • Own the forecasting process for operating expenses and headcount, providing updated spend visibility for senior management
  • Lead and drive end-to-end processes for AOP (Annual Operating Plan) build, including payroll and workforce-related planning
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to assess the financial impact of central initiatives, including payroll-related investments, system implementations, or reorganizations
  • Ensure proper accounting treatment of invoices in accordance with GAAP standards and review agreements in support of payroll and external service spending
  • Demonstrate strong ability to dig into details, thoroughly analyze complex information, and work effectively through ambiguity
  • Drive compliance to policy and Finance approval workflows for requisitions, with emphasis on payroll and vendor-related spend
  • Perform financial analysis in support of workforce and headcount planning, including payroll cost impacts
  • Support ongoing development of financial systems, leveraging Hyperion Planning (PLN) for financial reporting and planning
