About The Position

Novelis is a global leader in aluminum recycling and rolling, providing sustainable aluminum solutions for aerospace, automotive, beverage packaging, and specialty markets. The Sr Financial Analyst will support manufacturing operations and finance by preparing and analyzing financial reports to aid in business decision-making and enhance shareholder value.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP, and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical skills in business performance metrics
  • Extensive financial modeling experience.
  • Ability to think independently, synthesize data, and make proactive, concise recommendations.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Creative and innovative team player with a positive approach and a focus on business issues.
  • Proven ability to build successful relationships with plant leadership and regional office personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end activities including journal entries, forecasts in SAP, data export and analysis of actual results against plan and forecast, and assist with the SAP close process.
  • Build analytical models using financial and non-financial data to forecast and analyze operating results, and clearly articulate findings to management.
  • Facilitate annual planning and quarterly forecasting for manufacturing unit management, and support OpEx matters.
  • Analyze inventory and production cost variances, relaying results to manufacturing units to improve cost of manufacturing.
  • Assist with annual standard costing updates and planning.
  • Track and report capital expenditures (CapEx), ensuring budget alignment and proper asset capitalization.
  • Provide training and regular support to departments on purchase requisitions, RFA submissions, invoice resolution, valuations, and budgets.
  • Support Novelis Operating Systems and continuous improvement activities through participation in cross-functional projects, gaining knowledge of operational cost drivers.
  • Participate in cross-functional business projects and analysis, gaining comprehensive knowledge of operating cost drivers.
  • Provide leadership with insights on the profitability impact of operating decisions.
  • Lead and facilitate the development and implementation of process improvements.
