This position is part of a team responsible for management and execution of our provider incentive programs known as Additional Compensation Programs (ACP) including system setup and maintenance; incentive reporting, calculation and distribution; and incentive research and reconciliation. As part of this team, the Sr Financial Analyst will be involved in the processes around the reporting, calculation, and distribution of incentive payments. This includes direct involvement and analysis in areas such as provider income statements, month end close process, and payment documentation including preparation and submission of payment requests. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Requirements

  • 1+ years of financial and/or accounting experience
  • Intermediate or higher level of proficiency with MS Excel (Experience with pivot tables, vlook ups, what-if analysis, scenario modeling)
  • Demonstrated customer service skills in a professional business environment. Tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to respect confidential information
  • Proven excellent verbal/written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels within and outside the company. Possesses written communication skills enabling independent handling of correspondence and proofreading of complex legal agreements, letters, reports and other documents
  • Work schedule flexibility, including availability for overtime
  • Proven ability to learn and understand the interdependence of computer systems quickly
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and influence across a matrix environment to drive revenue enhancement and expense management initiatives
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize work and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with payment/incentive processing
  • Experience using PeopleSoft Financials
  • Experience using SAS or VBA (Visual Basics)
  • Experience working in the Healthcare industry

Responsibilities

  • Prepare provider income statements
  • Reconcile, analyze and review network income statements in preparation for month-end close
  • Research stakeholder questions and provide solutions
  • Calculate and prepare quarterly reconciliation payments
  • Document process and procedural changes
  • Coordinate with other teams, both internal and external, involved with the process
  • Work with complex Excel spreadsheets, calculations, and pivot tables
  • Assist in developing and maintaining clear communication channels with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Skilled at problem solving, follow-through and resolution
  • Ensure sufficient documentation is available (and provided) to support audits including current/historical documentation of operational procedures and incentive records
  • Perform analyses of issues, participate in development of potential solutions, and make recommendations to ensure accurate and timely resolution
  • Recommend and drive process improvements
  • Other projects as assigned
