This role is for a Sr. Financial Analyst supporting BECU's Technology organization. The position involves partnering with leaders across the business to deliver financial insights, forecasting expertise, and business case recommendations that shape enterprise priorities. The work will directly influence technology investments, process improvements, and long-term strategic planning initiatives. It offers an opportunity to combine analytical expertise, executive partnership, and strategic thinking in a highly visible role with enterprise-wide impact. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent work-related experience
  • Minimum 7 years of functional experience in a financial institution, supporting technology organizations or enterprise strategic initiatives
  • Building business cases for ROI and NPV for leadership decision making
  • Using One Stream and Quickview
  • Excel modeling and financial analysis skills
  • Experience with presentation, stakeholder management, conflict resolution and relationship-building skills
  • Candidates must be residents of WA, CA, VA, NC, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Technology and enterprise leaders by providing forecast support, financial insights, and strategic recommendations that help drive business and investment decisions.
  • Lead annual planning cycles, periodic forecasts, and long-range financial modeling efforts while identifying trends, risks, and opportunities impacting financial performance.
  • Create ROI analyses, net present value models, and executive-level recommendations that support strategic initiatives and technology investments.
  • Prepare monthly expense, project, and FTE variance reporting while delivering actionable insights that improve visibility into business performance.
  • Partner with teams across DABD, MDX, CMBS, Vendor Management & Enterprise Execution, Portfolio Governance, and Strategy Program Management to align financial planning efforts with enterprise priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve operational efficiency, and support automation initiatives with an AI-forward and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Build and maintain sophisticated financial models that support strategic decision-making and enterprise forecasting activities.
  • Utilize tools such as OneStream, Quickview, Hyperion, Smart View, and advanced Excel modeling techniques to support planning, reporting, and analysis efforts.
  • Present financial insights, recommendations, and strategic analysis to executive leadership and key stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Bring curiosity, accountability, and a bias for action while balancing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
