Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in a Finance or Business-related field
  • Minimum 5 years relevant Financial Analysis experience, preferably in the medical industry
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate complex subject matter to a wide variety of audiences
  • Superior organizational, multi-tasking and decision-making skills
  • Ability to achieve personal, departmental, and corporate goals/objectives with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Database and PowerPoint is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support Field Operations and Managing Directors in providing financial insights and analytical support, including month-end variance analysis and reporting of Pathology business, Pathology forecasts and profitability reviews (including cost of testing analytics), volume analysis and reporting, annual AOP preparation, pricing and billing analysis, integration activity analysis, and physician compensation plan analysis and reporting.
  • Ownership of multiple Pathology P&Ls and Balance Sheets.
  • Partner with Pathology leadership to develop business plans, OM expansion initiatives, and detail analysis/proformas of current and future state profitability.
  • Partner with Regional Finance Directors and Corporate Finance to ensure accuracy and understanding of Pathology results and key drivers, including month-end variance analysis, participation in regional calls, integration analysis, outlooks, AOP and ad hoc requests.
  • Assist in annual AOP process as well as monthly financial forecasting for Pathology business, gaining understanding of variances and articulating drivers to various levels of management through email, financial calls, or on-site meetings.
  • Calculate and administer physician compensation calculations, ensuring accuracy to contract and timeliness of payments, and develop modeling of compensation plan changes and initiatives as requested.
  • Assist Centralized Accounting and Revenue Recognition teams with month-end close, as required, with tasks ranging from the generation of various journal entries and trend analysis, to the generation of month-end financial reports.
  • Participate in preclose and post close discussions with business partners and advise on changes and updates.
  • Monitor, review and approve capital spend verses budget.
  • Assist with ROI analysis on large projects.
  • Processing capital requests including obtaining matrix approvals, generating capital tracking numbers and notifying Asset Management when assets are placed in service.
  • Facilitating asset transfers and disposals.
  • Support Finance Manager’s and Director’s with various ad-hoc information requests.
  • Perform routine and special projects as requested to achieve goals of the division and company.
  • Develop reporting to provide field with information required to make key business decisions.
  • Assist with business cases and financial analysis to support business decisions.
