Together, let’s redefine what is possible in orbit and beyond! Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Sr. Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) the Sr. FP&A Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, transforming complex financial data into actionable insights that shape the company’s strategy. This is a hands-on, high‑visibility role that offers significant ownership, cross-functional partnership, and the chance to drive meaningful improvements across the business. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Strategy, or related field
- 8+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, equity research, or similar experience; prior people-management experience in a high-growth or fast-paced environment preferred
- Experience as a people leader or a team lead with proven ability to mentor and coach
- Strong understanding of GAAP and how accounting impacts financial models and forecasts
- ERP implementation experience, ideally Microsoft Dynamics
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; proven ability to collaborate across levels and functions
- Highly organized with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capability
- Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate with urgency when required
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Sound judgment, discretion with confidential information, and a hands-on, proactive working style
- U.S. Person or lawful permanent resident to comply with U.S. government space technology export regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the company’s financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes; improve planning accuracy, cadence, and controls
- Partner closely with executive leadership to support strategic planning and resource allocation
- Prepare monthly forecasts, financial models, and scenario analyses to inform key business decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with department leaders to provide data-driven insights, performance reporting, and financial guidance
- Monitor monthly revenue, expenses, and key performance metrics; clearly communicate variance drivers to stakeholders
- Develop and deliver financial presentations for the Board of Directors, executive leadership, and company-wide communications
- Work closely with Accounting and Analytics teams to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting
- Own and enhance FP&A systems, tools, and processes to elevate accuracy, scalability, and productivity
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering analytical rigor and continuous improvement
- Support ad hoc projects and additional responsibilities as needed
