Sr Finance Manager, T-Ads

T-MobileBellevue, WA
$94,300 - $170,200Onsite

About The Position

We’re looking for a strategic, analytically driven Senior Finance Manager to serve as the dedicated KPI & Business Intelligence lead for the T-Ads Finance team. This is a hands-on individual contributor role built around ownership of KPI frameworks, executive reporting, and BI infrastructure across our T-Ads P&Ls. Starting with the Mobile business as a foundation, this role will scale its scope over time — ultimately owning consolidated KPI reporting and dashboarding across the full T-Ads organization. Beyond KPI ownership, this role will provide FP&A support to the Mobile Finance lead during forecast cycles, bringing strong modeling and analytical depth to the team. The ideal candidate brings strong FP&A fundamentals combined with hands-on BI and data modeling experience — someone equally comfortable in TM1, Excel, and a BI dashboard, who can translate complex data into executive-ready insights and scalable reporting infrastructure. This role is for someone energized by building systems, not just running them.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience with 5+ years in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), preferably supporting Advertising, Media, or Technology organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker); proficiency in SQL and Snowflake for data querying and analysis — these are hard requirements for this role, not nice-to-haves.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with enterprise planning and ERP tools including TM1 and Oracle — both are strongly preferred given the long-term systems roadmap for this role.
  • Demonstrated experience building data models, KPI frameworks, or analytics infrastructure — ability to independently pull, analyze, and visualize large datasets.
  • Strong communication skills; able to translate data-heavy insights into executive-ready narratives.
  • Proven cross-functional collaborator in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Comfortable building structure from scratch and creating clarity out of chaos.
  • Can operate at both the strategic “what should we measure?” level and the technical “how do we build it?” level.
  • Analytically minded — goes beyond the financials to understand the underlying product and data story, and is energized by building scalable metrics infrastructure, not just consuming it.
  • Confident business partner who can influence without authority and drive alignment across teams.
  • Must be comfortable working with teams based in other locations, including international (UK & Australia). Some flexibility will be required to collaborate effectively with time-zone differences.
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or CPA a plus.
  • Experience with enterprise planning and ERP tools including TM1 and Oracle — both are strongly preferred given the long-term systems roadmap for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Using the Mobile P&L as a starting point, design and build a standardized KPI tracking template covering monthly consolidation, variance analysis, and trend reporting — establishing a repeatable framework the broader finance team can adopt.
  • Serve as a key analytical partner to the Mobile Finance lead, supporting monthly forecast cycles through model maintenance, driver-based revenue analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Expand the KPI framework beyond Mobile to cover all P&Ls within the T-Ads space. Own executive KPI reporting and monthly consolidation across business units, synthesizing insights into clear narratives for senior leadership.
  • Partner with Finance Managers and the BI team to extend the TM1 planning cube beyond financial data to incorporate operational KPIs. Drive the build-out of TM1-sourced dashboards in Power BI or equivalent tools, enabling self-serve reporting across the organization.
  • Partner with the centralized systems team to migrate driver-based financial models into Oracle, improving planning scalability and integration across the enterprise.
  • Develop and deliver monthly reporting packages, Quarterly Business Reviews, and ad hoc KPI insights for P&L leaders and senior stakeholders across T-Ads.
  • Partner with Data and BI teams to define and maintain KPI taxonomies, data pipelines, and reporting infrastructure that support both individual P&L teams and the broader O&O consolidation function.
  • Align with the T-Ads consolidation FP&A team on corporate deliverable inputs including R&O management, Forecast, Budgets, and LRPs.
  • Additional analysis as required for internal FP&A deliverables, examples of which are Investor Day information and Scenario Planning
