The Sr. Manager of Operations Finance will lead the financial planning process for inventory and over $1.7 billion in costs across materials, manufacturing, and logistics. This role serves as a key finance partner for Operations, Accounting, and Corporate/Brand Finance teams, driving strategic growth. The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical and communication skills, a strong understanding of cost accounting, forecasting, variance analysis, and proven management capabilities. A passion for process improvement and AI-driven automation is a strong plus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible FP&A experience within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry with 3+ years focused on Supply Chain or Operations Finance FP&A
  • 3+ years of prior team management experience
  • Highly skilled in Supply Chain / Operations Finance with demonstrated success in building strong strategic partnerships
  • Solid understanding of Cost Accounting fundamentals and Gross Margin variance analysis concepts
  • Proven history of championing process improvement and automation
  • At ease presenting key results verbally, in writing and visually to large audience
  • Effective in-meeting management, clearly outlines purpose, drives engagement, communicates follow-ups
  • Works well under pressure and meets deadlines
  • Agile in Excel, NetSuite, and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Adaptive, NetSuite EPM, Tableau and/or PowerBI a plus
  • Strong aptitude in gathering insights from data across multiple sources
  • Dynamism in an environment of rapid change

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end financial planning for COGS and Inventory
  • Partner with COGS Accounting in the month-end close process, ensuring timely & accurate reporting
  • Provide analytics across sourcing, manufacturing, logistics and inventory – from volume/rate/mix variances vs Plan/Forecast/YAGO to forward outlook and sensitivities
  • Consolidate and communicate on-going COGS and Inventory outlooks, risks and opportunities
  • Support Operations and Finance teams through Integrated Business Planning cycles
  • Utilize broad business knowledge, supply-chain experience and deep financial expertise to connect the dots, develop insights and shape narratives that drive data-based decision making throughout Operations
  • Develop best-in-class reporting/analytics to enable near- and long-term enterprise-wide strategic, operational and financial objectives
  • Mentor a team of two Senior Financial Analysts, ensuring bench-strength as the needs of the business grow
  • Execute the Ops Finance Vision by supporting new systems implementations, reassessing and streamlining workflows, developing best-in-class reporting/analytics as a competitive advantage for the company
  • Support ad-hoc strategic decision-making around tariffs, pricing, competitive analyses, etc.
