About The Position

This position is located at our primary manufacturing and engineering plant in Billerica, MA. The Sr. Finance Analyst will develop effective relationships with operations business partners (Mfg, Mat, Log, SC), manage PBV (Period, Burden & Variance) spending, and maintain accurate factory spending & labor data for decision making (plan, analysis, close, reporting). The role involves partnering with Ops stakeholders to align closely with build plan, receipt, and PPV assumptions (business and accounting). Additionally, the analyst will manage COGS & Inventory accounting for NEXX, maintain accurate COGS accounting (plan, analysis, close, reporting), and handle Inventory Accounting (BS, BPR, E&O, reserves, GL Recon, Close & Reporting). The analyst will also support the Factory Acct Model, maintaining accurate data and preparing comprehensive cost accounting analysis for management review, including prior year actuals and recommendations for the upcoming year (activity rates & burden). Assisting the manager with BSR (Balance Sheet Review) and SOX/Compliance processes, and leading/supporting adhoc projects assigned by the manager are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Cost/Managerial Accounting, or related field of study
  • 4-7 years of experience.
  • Business partnering
  • Experience with enterprise level financial systems (SAP/BPC preferred)
  • Experience with large international MFG and/or Engineering company preferred
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Strong MS Office skill set (Excel, PP, BI, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate COGS accounting (plan, analysis, close, reporting).
  • Inventory Accounting (BS, BPR, E&O, reserves, GL Recon, Close & Reporting). Work with manager/team to define and manage core inventory data in a manner that allows for quick and accurate support of business decisions.
  • Support Factory Acct Model
  • Maintain accurate Factory Acct Model, prepare a comprehensive cost accounting analysis for mgmt. review which includes prior year actuals along with recommendations (activity rates & burden) for the upcoming year.
  • Assist manager with BSR (Balance Sheet Review) and SOX/Compliance processes
  • Lead and/or support adhoc projects assigned by manager
