DFS is part of a legacy of leadership that spans back generations, made up of some of the most trusted, leading-edge brands in the industry. As part of Dover Corporation and with our talented, innovative, outstanding people, we are doing great things and redefining what is possible in fueling and convenience retail. Providing advanced fuel-dispensing equipment, including clean energy solutions, systems and payment, automatic tank gauging and wet stock-management solutions, DFS comprises the product brands of Wayne Fueling Systems, OPW Fuel Management Systems, ClearView, Tokheim, ProGauge, Fairbanks, LIQAL, AvaLAN, and Bulloch Technologies. Headquartered in Austin, TX, DFS has a significant technology development and manufacturing presence worldwide, including facilities in Brazil, China, India, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States. Position Summary: The Field Service Engineer (FSE) role is a post-sale delivery role and will be a transition point for the Sales Engineer. This role plays a critical role in supporting and enabling technology with large national and regional convenience-retail customers by serving as the Level 3 technical support resource during and after the implementation phase. This role is the transition point once a customer has decided to buy products and progress with UAT. The Field Service Engineer will manage staging of the customer lab environment, support the implementation of DFS products, provide field support for the first installation(s), and manage sustaining issues that arise during and after the implementation phase. The Field Service Engineer is also a technical escalation point of contact for the L1 and L2 Customer Support team. As escalations arise, the Field Service Engineer is expected to provide technical ability and guidance to the support team. This is a post-sale delivery role. The Sales Engineer owns technical discovery, solution scoping, and pre-contract alignment, then hands off to Implementation and Project teams once the sale is complete. Success is measured by trust built, deals enabled, and the quality of solutions sold—not by post-installation execution. Location: The ideal candidate is based in Austin, TX. Exceptional remote candidates will also be considered.
