About The Position

The Senior Field Engineer serves as a technical and operational leader responsible for overseeing commercial window and glazing projects from pre-installation review through project closeout. This role ensures installations are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with manufacturer specifications, approved shop drawings, engineering requirements, Florida Building Code requirements, and company quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in: Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Building Science or related field required.
  • 7+ years of experience in commercial window, glazing, curtainwall, or building envelope construction.
  • Experience with UHNWI/custom luxury residential or large-scale commercial developments.
  • Demonstrated success managing high-rise and hurricane-impact window projects
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

  • OSHA 30 certification (Advantageous)
  • General Contractor license (Highly desirable)
  • AutoCAD/Bluebeam/Procore experience (Additional technical qualifications)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills (Bonus Qualification)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee commercial window, storefront, curtainwall, impact glazing, and specialty fenestration installations across assigned projects.
  • Conduct routine field inspections to ensure installations comply with approved shop drawings, manufacturer requirements, structural engineering specifications, and company quality standards.
  • Monitor installation sequencing, field conditions, manpower utilization, and project readiness.
  • Identify and proactively resolve installation deficiencies, field conflicts, and quality concerns.
  • Participate in project review meetings with senior leadership and operations management.
  • Review plans, shop drawings, field measurements, engineering details, and project scopes for constructability and execution risk.
  • Provide technical recommendations regarding installation methodologies, anchoring systems, waterproofing considerations, product compatibility, structural concerns, and sequencing strategies.
  • Establish and maintain field quality control standards across all commercial projects.
  • Conduct documented quality inspections at critical stages of installation.
  • Ensure all installations meet company workmanship expectations and manufacturer warranty requirements.
  • Work directly with executive leadership to improve workflows across procurement, material readiness, installation planning, field execution, quality control, and project closeout.
  • Identify recurring operational bottlenecks and develop scalable process improvements.
  • Support the development of SOPs, field checklists, training materials, and operational accountability systems.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
