Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent and over six years work experience in facilities related maintenance work including equipment repair or equivalent combination of formal education/training and experience.
Subject to overtime, weekend work, shift work, and call-in as required.
Works at heights to 50 feet.
Works with acids, vapors, and other chemical liquids in systems up to 1,500-psig pressure.
Works in industrial, power plant and nuclear plant environments.
Must satisfactorily complete radiation safety training, including respirator qualifications.

Responsibilities

Replaces failed building systems and/or components as required.
Provides safety lockout and works on electrical systems up to and including 600V, 3 Phase.
Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies, such as EPA and State Inspectors.
Operates Building management Control System (BMCS).
Performs preventive maintenance on Facilities HVAC and electrical equipment.
Contacts vendors to order materials and services.
Inspects contractor's work for compliance with specifications.
Responsible for calling in contractors to support work activities, as needed.
Reports job status to determine payments to contractors.
Prepares labor and cost estimates on repair and installation work.
Works with engineers and supervision to recommend, plan and perform changes and improvements to existing equipment.
