Sr. Facilities Engineer - Sterilization
About The Position
For Engineering services in the Facilities area. This role supports the design/build of clean rooms, chiller plants, and compressed air plants. The engineer will plan, design, and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities. This includes gathering and reviewing data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion dates, and construction feasibility. The role also involves coordinating with architecture/engineering firms, preparing bid sheets and contracts, reviewing design costs, and inspecting construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to drawings, specifications, and schedules. Travel to other sites is required 5-10% depending on project needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Building Automation Systems)
- Four (4) years of relevant experience within the Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical industry
- Bilingual (Spanish & English)
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics
- Experience with integrated building solutions including temperature control, critical environment monitoring, power management and alarming, zoned lighting control and facility access control
- Tridium/Niagara or Siemens BAS experience
- Facility Commissioning experience

Responsibilities
- Supporting design/build of clean rooms, chiller plants, compressed air plants.

- Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility
- Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings
- Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition
- Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs
- Inspects or directs the inspection of construction, installation progress, and commissioning to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules
