Sr. Event Technology Project Manager

About The Position

This position is responsible for building and managing event registration experiences primarily within Cvent, including registration websites, Attendee Hub, session and agenda configurations, communications, surveys, and other event technology solutions such as EventMobi and SocialPoint. The individual in this role will project manage technology builds internally and with external clients to ensure all deadlines and requirements are met, provide technology support to Program Specialists and Registration Managers, and serve as a subject matter resource for Cvent capabilities and best practices. This position will also support builds and integrations in other approved technology platforms based on client and program needs.

Requirements

  • Experience building and managing event registration experiences primarily within Cvent.
  • Experience with Cvent Attendee Hub, session and agenda configurations, communications, and surveys.
  • Experience with other event technology solutions such as EventMobi and SocialPoint.
  • Ability to project manage technology builds internally and with external clients.
  • Ability to provide technology support to Program Specialists and Registration Managers.
  • Subject matter expertise for Cvent capabilities and best practices.
  • Experience supporting builds and integrations in other approved technology platforms.
  • Experience configuring Cvent registration, including registration paths, admission items, session groups, registration questions, fees, confirmation emails, and other event specific functionality.
  • Experience supporting the full technology lifecycle from initial discovery and planning through build, testing, launch, and post event support.
  • Experience partnering with Program Managers and Program Specialists/Registration Managers during client discovery meetings to translate specific needs into technology requirements.
  • Experience liaising with internal Technology Services departments for technology support and troubleshooting.
  • Thorough testing and quality assurance of registration websites, attendee experiences, communications, and other technology components prior to launch.
  • Ability to provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to Program Specialists and Registration Managers.
  • Experience supporting other event technology solutions, including surveys, communications, and reporting.
  • Experience training end users on Cvent and other approved technology platforms.
  • Ability to ensure staff are set up correctly and understand how to use technology systems as they relate to their job function.
  • Ability to provide guidance on new features and functionality.
  • Ability to provide refresher training and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in ongoing client planning calls and technology discussions.
  • Identifies and understands client interests, issues, expectations, and priorities.
  • Partners with clients and internal teams to translate program requirements into effective technology solutions.
  • Acknowledges and escalates client and attendee concerns as appropriate.
  • Adheres to Creative Group policies regarding appropriate and professional client interaction.
  • Abides by the local laws and culture of the designated program venue.
  • Provides technology recommendations based on experience, platform capabilities, and best practices.
  • Educates clients on available Cvent functionality and recommends solutions that support their program goals.
  • Builds and manages event registration websites using Cvent.
  • Configures Cvent registration, including registration paths, admission items, session groups, registration questions, fees, confirmation emails, and other event specific functionality.
  • Builds and manages Cvent Attendee Hub experiences, including agendas, sessions, content, attendee experiences, and other applicable features.
  • Configures Cvent features and functionality based on client requirements and program needs.
  • Supports the full technology lifecycle from initial discovery and planning through build, testing, launch, and post event support.
  • Partners with the Program Manager and Program Specialist/Registration Managers during client discovery meetings to translate specific needs into technology requirements.
  • Liaisons with the internal Technology Services department for technology support and troubleshooting.
  • Leverages working knowledge of Cvent capabilities and other approved technology platforms to make successful recommendations to clients and internal teams.
  • Conducts thorough testing and quality assurance of registration websites, attendee experiences, communications, and other technology components prior to launch.
  • Identifies opportunities to leverage Cvent functionality to improve the attendee experience and increase efficiency for clients and internal teams.
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance to Program Specialists and Registration Managers throughout the planning and execution of programs.
  • Supports other event technology solutions, including surveys, communications, reporting, and other approved platforms as needed.
  • Leverages experience and creative thinking to identify opportunities for increased process efficiency.
  • Shares Cvent strategies, best practices, and technology updates with colleagues.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to develop and improve processes, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
  • Serves as a resource for questions related to Cvent functionality and event technology best practices.
  • Stays current on new Cvent features and capabilities and identifies opportunities to incorporate them into team processes and client solutions.
  • Provides onsite technology services when required for complex programs.
  • Provides technology support during events as needed.
  • Travels on site when training opportunities or program requirements are identified and approved by management.
  • Trains end users on Cvent and other approved technology platforms.
  • Ensures staff are set up correctly and understand how to use technology systems as they relate to their job function.
  • Provides guidance on new features and functionality as they become available.
  • Provides refresher training and ongoing support as needed.
  • Performs other technology related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
