About The Position

Lamb Weston’s Senior Specialist – ESG Engagement supports the Company’s growing engagement with internal and external stakeholders. The role participates in and leads activities involving ESG resources, Supply Chain and Commercial teams, customers, suppliers, and ESG rating, ranking, and certification systems. In collaboration with the Sr. Director, ESG Administration, the position helps advance ESG strategy and programs and ensures progress is represented accurately and consistently to different audiences. The role supports and tracks ESG activities across business functions, works with Communications and Marketing to strengthen ESG messaging, and tracks and responds to external requests for ESG information. It also contributes ESG subject-matter expertise to internal programs, supports sustainability initiatives, and leads tactical external engagement, including customer inquiries, questionnaires, rating and ranking systems, and certification or audit programs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
At least 5 years of general business experience.
Understanding of ESG strategies, regulations, insights, metrics, and reporting.
Ability to work in an evolving field where processes and procedures need to be defined.
Strong logical thinking, project management, problem-solving, and initiative leadership skills, with an organized and efficient approach.
Experience working across multiple departments to support projects or resolve organizational challenges.
Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with employees at all organizational levels, from field-level staff to executives.
High proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.

Nice To Haves

Experience in ESG or Sustainability.
Experience in Supply Chain, Communications, or Marketing may be considered.

Responsibilities

Support and aid in developing ESG and sustainability initiatives and programs.
Provide ESG subject-matter expertise and support to internal programs.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure ESG messaging is conveyed consistently and accurately to internal and external stakeholders.
Represent ESG interests within EHS Pillar Teams and/or Green Teams, facilitating appropriate focus and sharing best practices.
Work with ESG team members and internal groups—including Global Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Ag Services, Capital Management, and Corporate Finance—to support and track strategy and roadmap deliverables.
Collaborate with the Sr. Director, ESG Administration to track and consolidate qualitative ESG activities across the Company.
Lead tactical external engagement activities, including customer inquiries, questionnaires, ESG-related rating and ranking systems, and certification or audit programs.
Develop ESG content with Corporate Communications, Sales, and/or Marketing for employee, customer, and investor engagement activities.
Cultivate relationships with teammates, industry peers, customers, and suppliers.
Support grants, incentives, and funding opportunities.
Complete special projects and other ad hoc ESG responsibilities as requested.
