About The Position

We are seeking a Sr Equipment Validation Engineer for a 12+ month contract role in Irvine, CA. This is a 100% onsite position with a high possibility of extension. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5-7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be a senior-level engineering contractor with demonstrated ability to quickly step in and operate with minimal ramp-up. This role involves hands-on equipment validation experience, particularly with machinery involving ovens and thermal systems, motors and rotating equipment, and custom or complex electromechanical machinery. Strong project management discipline and vendor management experience are crucial. The candidate should be comfortable working in less standardized environments where equipment is not off-the-shelf and validation approaches must be adapted. Success in this role means the custom equipment is validated and qualified with clear, defensible results, the vendor-driven system design progresses on schedule with accountable deliverables, and internal stakeholders have reduced management overhead because the contractor owns coordination end-to-end.
