Ensure process equipment and machinery are maintained in good order under Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) guidelines for maximum equipment uptime. Provide technical skilled support and guidance to site operations via specialized maintenance services on a timely basis. This position requires the ability to work all 3 shifts with a weekly rotation: Days - Mon - Fri, 7 am - 3:30 pm; Afternoons - Mon - Fri, 3 pm - 11:30 pm; Nights - Mon - Thurs (10 hours), 10 pm - 8:30 am. The role involves repairing, rebuilding, and refurbishing machinery and equipment utilizing milling machines, lathes, and all machine shop hand tools. It also includes performing general maintenance on production equipment such as Fluid Bed Dryers, Film Coaters, Tablet Presses, Transfer Pumps, Vacuum Systems, Processing Vessels, and auxiliary equipment. The specialist will maintain production equipment, auxiliary equipment, and building maintenance, including operator training on equipment setup and operation. They will schedule equipment downtime for maintenance within Preventative Maintenance program timeframes, ensure equipment availability for timely preventative maintenance, and maintain accurate GMP records. Participation in Operational meetings, Rapids, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is required. Documentation of work activities within a CMMS Program and maintaining a safe working environment by reporting potential hazards are key responsibilities. The role also requires performing alternating or rotating shift work and working during maintenance shutdowns.
