Sr. Equipment Operator
About The Position
A Sr. Equipment Operator job is available with the City of Fort Worth Transportation and Public Works, specifically in the South Concrete Sector. This sector is responsible for permanent concrete repairs of concrete street panels, curbs, driveway approaches, and alleys. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge in building forms, setting rebar and dowels, directing concrete pours, and be skilled in all aspects of concrete finishing. Additionally, a solid background in operating frequently used heavy construction equipment is required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Three (3) years of experience in operation of motorized equipment or construction equipment
- Possession of a CDL Class A with a Tank Endorsement; Operations of a hydro-mulch vehicle, water truck, and/or vactor as required
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of concrete maintenance experience
- Traffic Control (MUTCD) and safety procedures
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
Responsibilities
- Operate on-road equipment, including operating a dump truck and/ or tractor trailer
- Operate heavy equipment such as backhoe, skid steer, excavator, and other various heavy equipment
- Concrete repair and maintenance
- Traffic Control (MUTCD) and safety procedures
- Knowledge and use of data entry systems such as VueWorks and/or work order management systems
- Capability to step into a leadership role when needed, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely
- Trains new crew members and monitors performance
