About The Position

This role involves supporting the production floor by conducting preventive maintenance and performing advanced repairs on equipment, fixtures, and systems (including mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and automation). Responsibilities include evaluating, recommending, and implementing equipment enhancements to improve availability, capability, and yield. Additionally, the role requires performing equipment failure analyses (both preventive and unscheduled maintenance) and troubleshooting, diagnosing, and identifying root causes of equipment issues.

Requirements

2-year degree from an accredited university or vocational school in Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering related field OR a combination of education and relevant experience.
A minimum of 8 years of technical experience.
Knowledgeable in Electrostatic Discharge Protection (ESD) practices, including set up and verification of Electrostatic Protection Areas.
Should be familiar with reading and manipulating multiple data formats.
Understanding of NFPA 70, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, ANSI S20.20 and WHMA A-620.
Ability to read, understand, and develop electrical and mechanical schematics for diagnosis and repair.
Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office Suite, CMMS, Agile, and Aegis.
Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Prepares new machines for operation by following established protocols and procedures, and performs regular technical testing to ensure their safety and efficiency
Conducts preventative, predictive, and reliability maintenance checks on high energy systems or those requiring specific skills or training.
Troubleshoot and repair advanced pressure, acoustic, electrical, signal, electromechanical, mechanical, pneumatic, network, software, and automation systems.
Coordinate with other departments in documenting root cause analysis, execute A-3 or other root cause solving processes to document and solve recurring issues.
Perform specialized equipment and high accuracy requirement calibrations.
Implement new equipment and parts into existing systems and equipment to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
Generate non-production work orders in the CMMS to address equipment, tooling, and test system defects, as well as to replace parts and consumables, ensuring all parts are issued to work orders via CMMS.
Complete assigned work orders in the CMMS, including equipment assembly and installation, inspections, and calibration.
Track daily work through completion of work orders within CMMS.
Provide recommendations for PM periodicity changes based off of usage and previous calibration data.
Self-starter, focused on improving safety and efficiency.
Prioritize response to requests from production for equipment trouble calls
Initiate drawing and procedural changes in Agile
Assist process automation engineers and tool design group with generating and debugging machine programs on the line.
Build new test systems and production equipment from engineering drawings.
Optimize balance between equipment use and settings for maximum efficiency.
Provide point-to-point verification on new equipment and fixturing.
Mentor and train junior technicians.
