About The Position

Participates in the development (design, build, test) and support of Children's clinical systems. Implements cost effective solutions. Facilitates the development of a proposed solution to business- sponsored initiatives. May lead and direct the work of others within the Applications group or external to the group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in a related area may substitute for degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in hospital/clinic healthcare setting with experience supporting an EHR, related applications, and integrated workflows. This same experience with an EHR vendor is also acceptable.
  • Experience with software application tools used for application build and data manipulation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare and/or financial software applications
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with physicians, nurses and various other hospital staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing with all levels of associates and management.
  • Ability to effectively converse with individuals of different levels of business and technical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of analytical processes and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to evaluate business user needs against current system capabilities.
  • Ability to accurately and effectively translate business requirements to high-level system specifications.
  • Familiarity in the use of Microsoft Window products (Word, Excel, Access and Project) or equivalent.
  • Aptitude for learning new software tools and products.
  • Familiarity with the software development cycle.
  • Leadership, planning, estimating, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate meetings and manage sub-projects.
  • Proficiency with Project Management tools or methods.

Nice To Haves

  • All relevant, required certification program(s) should begin no later than one month after the employee's start date. Once the certification program has commenced, employees must obtain their certification(s) within three months. Relevant certification must be maintained ongoing.
