The Sr. Environmental Services Technician is a member of the COH Environmental Services team and is responsible for performing established standard cleaning procedures to provide non-medical sanitation support in assigned unit of the hospital. This position performs a variety of complex floor care duties including, but not limited to, operating specialized floor care equipment, commercial vacuum use, stripping/refinishing carpets and hard floor surfaces, and other general cleaning duties in order to provide a safe, attractive, environment for patients, visitors, and employees within the hospital.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 3 years relevant experience preferred
  • Healthcare Environmental Services experience preferred
  • Floor Care experience preferred
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Strong customer services skills
  • Ability to work well on a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Performing established standard cleaning procedures to provide non-medical sanitation support in assigned unit of the hospital.
  • Performing a variety of complex floor care duties including operating specialized floor care equipment, commercial vacuum use, stripping/refinishing carpets and hard floor surfaces.
  • Performing other general cleaning duties in order to provide a safe, attractive, environment for patients, visitors, and employees within the hospital.
