Sr. Engineers, Software is located in Bellevue, WA will research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer or Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Developing enterprise-scale, consumer-facing web applications end-to-end using Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern front-end framework.
  • Designing and building content-driven web solutions using Adobe Experience Manager, including Sites, HTL (Sightly), Sling Models, OSGi, JCR, Content/Experience Fragments, and Dispatcher caching.
  • Creating RESTful services and data layers using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate; implementing security with Spring Security (JWT, OAuth2); and ensuring quality through unit testing with JUnit and Mockito.
  • Building dynamic user interfaces with Alpine.js, semantic HTML, and CSS: Flexbox, and Grid; optimizing performance using Webpack or Vite; and ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
  • Implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, containerizing and deploying applications with Docker and Kubernetes, and monitoring using Splunk, Splunk Observability, and OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing and metrics.
  • Applying OWASP-aligned secure coding practices to prevent CSRF and XSS; performing code reviews with static analysis tools such as Checkstyle and ESLint; and optimizing system performance for TTFB, CLS, LCP, and API latency.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  • Understand system protocols, how systems operate and data flows.
  • Aware of current technology benefits.
  • Develop a full software stack.
  • Understand the building T Mobile blocks, interactions, dependencies, and tools required to complete software and automation work.
  • Interact with architects and principal engineers to define system requirements.
  • Drive engineering projects by developing software solutions, conducting tests and inspections, and preparing reports and calculations.
  • Contribute to designs and new frameworks that implement new ideas that improve an existing or new system/process/service.
  • Understands and can apply new industry perspectives to our existing business model.
  • Reviews existing designs and processes to highlight more efficient ways to complete existing workload more efficiently through industry perspectives.
  • Collaborates with technical teams and applies system expertise to deliver technical solutions.
  • Maintains knowledge of existing technology documents.
  • Writes basic documentation on how technology works.
  • Crafts clear documentation for new code and systems used.
  • Documents systems designs, presentations, and business requirements for consumption and consideration at the manager level.
  • Contributes to new and existing technology options that support business goals.
  • Translates business and functional requirements into documented backlog in partnership with Product Owner.
