Requirements

  • Technical degree or certification in electronics or related fields.
  • 3+ years of electronics technician experience.
  • Experience fabricating special test equipment such as custom fixtures low level test harnesses.
  • Experience with power and basic mechanical hand tools.
  • Experience with soldering & Electrical lab re-work.
  • Experience with everyday operations in an ESD electrical test lab Environment.
  • Experience with electrical testing and equipment (e.g., multimeter, CAN diagnostics).
  • Experience working with multiple OS systems MAC, Windows, Linux, Debian based OS.
  • Experience with Google Workspace/Microsoft Office and drawing diagrams using tools such as Lucid Charts.
  • Understanding of HV (High Voltage) - LV (Low Voltage) and safety awareness.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and passionate about getting jobs done.
  • Basic understanding of networking and routing of system architecture.
  • Able to move / lift heavy boxes and equipment.
  • Hands-on approach: Proactively identifies and fills in gaps where needed.

Responsibilities

  • Design and setup Hardware-in-the-Loop benches with multiple ECUs.
  • Design racks and fixtures to mount ECUs, sensors, NUCs and harnesses.
  • Ability to set up DUT (Device Under Test) system test benches.
  • Ability to set up and utilize standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, variable power supplies and digital multimeters with no direction.
  • Draw simple electrical schematics to fabricate interface and breakout boards.
  • Troubleshoot, root cause and document electronic functional failures.
  • Perform wire harness assembly crimp and pin, soldering / desoldering, some SMT soldering, etc.
  • Fabricate special test equipment supporting development and validation testing of automotive electronic components.
  • Manage and maintain Lab test equipment, asset management, distribution / Inventory control, and the shipping/receiving of packages.
