About The Position

Apple Services Engineering (ASE) enables Apple’s apps and services at scale, serving hundreds of millions of customers in more than 35 languages and over 150 countries. The ASE Security team is seeking an experienced Security Engineering Program Manager to help manage and scale its Strategic Risk Security team. The role manages delivery of security controls, guardrails, and frameworks that protect customer data in Apple’s infrastructure and helps develop solutions to security risks affecting Apple systems and data. The Engineering Program Manager leads program delivery for a team combining solutions engineering, architecture review, and advanced threat analysis to safeguard customer data and accounts worldwide. Acting as the team’s operational backbone, the role turns technical analysis into structured plans; coordinates discovery sessions; leads post-incident follow-through to establish preventative controls; manages proactive risk mitigation roadmaps; and provides engineering leadership with visibility and data for informed risk decisions. The role operationalizes cross-functional security initiatives and programs requiring security-domain, systems, and engineering knowledge. It manages dependencies, risks, and changes while optimizing scope, schedule, and resources; creates project plans that build consistency, clarity, and alignment; and collaborates with senior engineers to distill complex requirements, identify trade-offs, anticipate roadblocks, and help shape technical direction across the software development lifecycle. It also influences peers and stakeholders, builds consensus amid ambiguity, owns communication plans, reports program health and success metrics, tracks progress, and uses data to guide strategic decisions and leadership prioritization.
