About The Position

The Sr Engineering Manager for Stability Analysis (STA) will work within the Fuels and Digital Engineering team of Global Nuclear Fuel – Americas (GNF). The STA team is responsible leading a technical team that evaluates the behavior of nuclear reactors during various operational states to ensure they remain within safe, stable limits. They oversee complex modeling to prevent unplanned power oscillations or thermal-hydraulic instabilities.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical or similar).
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a technology or engineering role within the Nuclear industry.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of technical talent and depth within the team
  • Provide leadership, resources and training needed to assure high quality deliverables in accordance with customer requirements, business procedures and regulatory agency guidelines.
  • Support the development, maintenance and control of the licensing and design bases and improvement of analysis processes (including procedures).
  • Interface with project management and direct resources to execute to defined project work schedules and priorities.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Interface with internal customers, external customers and the NRC on technical issues.
  • Act as a leader in company / business initiatives.
  • Support GVH quality requirements, including participation in design reviews, initiating and responding to Condition Reports, identifying and providing needed training and mentoring, and maintaining adequate levels of qualified personnel.
