About The Position

This role involves end-to-end administration of the Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 environment, including mailbox management, mail flow/transport rules, hybrid Exchange configuration, and message tracing/NDR troubleshooting. The engineer will manage the mail security posture through EOP/Defender for Office 365 policies, anti-phishing/anti-malware configuration, and SPF/DKIM/DMARC authentication. Key responsibilities include leading mailbox and tenant migrations, administering compliance controls such as retention policies, litigation hold, in-place archiving, DLP policies, and sensitivity labels. The role also covers administration of core M365 services like Entra ID, M365 admin center, and adjacent Teams/SharePoint/OneDrive administration. Governance of the Power Platform environment, including Power Automate flows, Power Apps ALM, and Dataverse security roles, is also a significant part of the role. Additionally, the engineer will administer Microsoft 365 Copilot rollout, usage reporting, and agent management, while advising on data governance implications. Designing and maintaining Conditional Access policies, MFA/passwordless rollout, and Identity Protection risk policies are crucial for adhering to Zero Trust principles. Incident investigation using the Unified Audit Log and Microsoft Purview, building PowerShell scripts and Microsoft Graph API automation, and maintaining clear documentation are also expected. The role requires escalating and managing vendor support cases with Microsoft and identifying/communicating conflicting requirements or risks. On-call support for the messaging and collaboration environment is part of the job. The company is a leading North American sales and marketing agency specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management, and marketing services for food products and consumer packaged goods across various trade channels. The role also oversees the entire lifecycle of small-to-medium-sized projects, including design, development, testing, production, and improvements, with on-call support for features. Responsibilities include documenting designs, writing clear code, refactoring code for maintainability, tracking and responding to issues from external contributors, enhancing the development experience, contributing to code specifications, participating in code reviews, understanding product architecture, advocating for engineering standards, and identifying/flagging conflicting requirements and risks.
