In this role, you will use creativity, sound judgment, and flexibility to reduce defects by identifying and eliminating root causes. You will collaborate with suppliers to improve performance and ensure measurement and inspection systems meet customer requirements. Using the scientific method, DMAIC methodology, and advanced statistical tools, you will improve processes and solve complex manufacturing challenges. You will also have the opportunity to positively impact manufacturing cost, quality, uptime, yield, cycle time, and safety by evaluating new raw materials, equipment, and process parameters. Responsibilities include documenting SOPs, SOSs, experiment plans, and process changes, with projects that may support any Corning division or Research and Development function.
