THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: The System Engineer will be responsible for system operation, architectural input, developing and maintaining our cloud and On-prem environments. They will work on sophisticated projects designing and implementing a cloud solution that aligns with our strategic growth objectives and go-to-market strategies. The role will require working on multiple analytics-based initiatives simultaneously, building a unified best-practices cloud platform and highly technical OS support.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of progressive Infrastructure Engineering experience supporting large-scale enterprise Windows, virtualization, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
Strong experience designing, building, managing, and troubleshooting infrastructure solutions across Microsoft Azure, VMware, and hybrid-cloud environments.
Strong hands-on experience with enterprise virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), and cloud-based VMware solutions.
Demonstrated hands-on experience building and provisioning servers using Terraform and Ansible in cloud and hybrid environments.
Deep expertise in: Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Services, VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter, Windows Server Administration, Active Directory / Group Policy, Citrix / Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Infrastructure Automation
Strong knowledge of: Virtual Machines, Virtual Networking, Enterprise Storage, High Availability / Clustering, Disaster Recovery Solutions, Identity and Access Management, Load Balancing, DNS / DHCP, SSL/TLS and Certificate Management, Network Security
Experience with large-scale enterprise server deployment, datacenter migration, cloud migration, modernization, and infrastructure lifecycle management projects.
Strong experience with enterprise virtual application and desktop technologies, including: Citrix DaaS, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Remote Desktop Services (RDS), FSLogix, Citrix XenServer
Strong experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise disaster recovery and business continuity solutions utilizing technologies such as Zerto, VMware, and cloud-based recovery platforms.
Strong experience with: PowerShell Automation, Ansible, Tanium, Configuration Management, Patch Management, Infrastructure Monitoring, Vulnerability Remediation
Experience administering and supporting Microsoft enterprise platforms, including: Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange / Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, SQL Server Infrastructure
Experience with infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts utilizing: PowerShell, Ansible, REST APIs, JSON / configuration-driven automation, Git-based source control
Experience with enterprise application delivery and load-balancing technologies, SSL/TLS, certificate management, and backend application connectivity.
Experience implementing automation, CI/CD, and DevOps practices for infrastructure deployment and operational management.
Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, virtualization, operating systems, networking, storage, identity, application delivery, and cloud infrastructure.
Strong understanding of security best practices, vulnerability remediation, infrastructure hardening, compliance requirements, and cloud governance.
Proven ability to lead complex infrastructure initiatives, develop technical standards and documentation, perform root cause analysis, and provide technical guidance across infrastructure and application teams.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and drive technical initiatives from concept through implementation.
Passion for continuous learning and staying current with emerging Cloud, DevOps, Automation, AI, and Infrastructure technologies.
Off-hours support including 24x7 on-call responsibilities may be required

Responsibilities

Understand overall infrastructure, organizational priorities, and success measures to assist in designing and supporting best-practice based architectures and solutions.
Combine technical expertise and organizational goals to create a modernization roadmap that meets business and IT needs, ensuring technical viability of new projects and successful deployments.
Lead automated server provisioning, deployment, and lifecycle management initiatives using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with Terraform and Ansible as primary technologies.
Design, develop, and maintain reusable Terraform modules and Ansible playbooks to automate server builds, operating system configuration, patching, compliance controls, and application deployments.
Architect, deploy, and support enterprise infrastructure solutions across Linux and Windows Server environments.
Leverage a wide variety of infrastructure technologies including Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Windows and Linux IaaS, DevOps, Storage, Networking, Security, and Automation platforms to build scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
Monitor, audit, deploy, manage, and operate highly available production environments.
Play a key role in the patching lifecycle utilizing Ansible, Red Hat Satellite, Tanium, and enterprise patch management solutions.
Perform operating system automation and orchestration for Linux and Windows platforms to support infrastructure modernization and application deployments.
Provide advanced operating system support for Linux and Windows Server environments.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions leveraging Terraform, Ansible, and cloud-native automation capabilities.
Design and implement cloud infrastructure components including: Compute, Storage, Networking, VMware, Identity & Access Management, Disaster Recovery, Monitoring & Logging
Support cloud migration and transformation projects involving servers, applications, storage, databases, and enterprise workloads.
Implement configuration management, compliance enforcement, and drift remediation through Ansible automation.
Create high-quality technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.
Support monitoring, alerting, logging, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps processes.
Collaborate with application, networking, security, database, and platform teams to drive infrastructure standards and modernization initiatives.
Drive technical decisions collaboratively, resolve conflicts, and ensure successful project execution through exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
