As a Sr. Equipment Engineer of cylindrical batteries, you will improve equipment for program and design to increase overall efficiency and productivity and identify root cause or the equipment breakdowns. You will also provide education for equipment controls and devise plans to share base knowledge for company specific equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years in engineering equipment experience in production/plant environment
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in engineering or related field required
  • Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a period of up to 12 hours: Safety glasses, Steel-toed shoes
  • Must be able to perform the following over the course of up to 12 hours per day: Lift/push/pull up to 35 pounds on occasion, Stoop, twist, bend, Reach overhead, Sit and/or stand for lengthy periods
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Equipment designing programs (2D/3D)
  • Production processes
  • Equipment data analysis and processing
  • Programmable Logic Controller experience(PLC)

  • DOE (Design of experiments)
  • CAD (Computer-aided design) and coding
  • Korean-English bilingual

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Overall Equipment Effectiveness(OEE) for breakdown frequency and uptime for daily production
  • Report on OEE (Micro-stop, Breakdown Maintenance(BM), and yield) and create plans for improvements
  • Design/review production work orders based on Programmable Logic Controllers(PLCs)
  • Monitor OEE and Line of Balance(LOB) after improvements are made
  • Install/modify/analyze/repair/test new tools/machines/equipment and technology to line (i.e. installation of production equipment such as pressing machine, mixer, coater, etc.)
  • Research/implement new technology for production equipment
  • Provide support to other engineers including delegating work orders to equipment and controls engineers
  • Collaborate with related departments to improve process quality and conduct equipment modification and improvement activities
  • Manage plans for daily maintenance activities
  • Train other equipment engineers with shared responsibilities
  • Complete daily documentation and audits, as required by position
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards
  • Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
