About The Position

Position Overview The primary responsibility of the Sr Engineer – Cyber Security is to design, implement, and support the company’s overall information security infrastructure. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures. All Las Vegas Sands Corp. Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.

Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in cyber security or information technology
  • Experience in at least 5 of the following: Cloud Engineering, Kubernetes Engineering, System Administration, Network Administration, Installing and implementing security appliances, Capacity planning, Network architecture, Cyber forensics, Data Loss Prevention, Firewall administration, IDS/IPS installation, implementation and maintenance, Vulnerability and security configuration scanning, Vulnerability and configuration exploit software, Anti-virus an anti-malware hardware and software, SIEM installation, implementation and maintenance, Cyber incident response, Secure configuration management, Threat intelligence, Metrics development
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to manage deadlines and changing priorities
  • Must be self-motivated and a team player collaborating with a team that spans the globe
  • Demonstrates responsibility and accountability
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with team members, management, senior management and consultants both verbally and in writing

  • Must be able to respond to calls as needed (24/7)
  • Must be able to design, install and implement cyber infrastructure solutions that integrate with the existing infrastructure

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, and dust.
  • Utilize laptop and standard keyboard to perform essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise cyber security infrastructure across on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud environments, ensuring secure, resilient, and scalable operations.
  • Engineer, secure, and operate Kubernetes platforms in Microsoft Azure (AKS) and Amazon Web Services (EKS), including cluster architecture, access controls, network segmentation, and platform hardening.
  • Harden container images and Kubernetes workloads by enforcing secure build practices, image scanning, configuration standards, and runtime protection controls.
  • Monitor security platforms and Kubernetes environments for performance, availability, and security posture; troubleshoot cluster, node, and workload‑level issues to maintain operational stability.
  • Respond to, investigate, and remediate security events, incidents, vulnerabilities, and alerts—including Kubernetes, container, and infrastructure misconfigurations—in accordance with incident response procedures.
  • Integrate security monitoring, alerting, and telemetry with enterprise SIEM and security operations workflows; tune controls for effective detection and business‑relevant monitoring.
  • Design cyber security architecture in collaboration with IT, cloud, and DevOps teams; define security requirements for heterogeneous environments including Microsoft, Linux, proprietary systems, and ICS.
  • Develop and maintain security architecture designs, standards, operational procedures, runbooks, and technical documentation to support consistent and secure operations.
  • Perform lifecycle management, capacity planning, change management, and operational support for cyber security platforms, including participation in CAB activities and on‑call response.
  • Produce security metrics, dashboards, and reports; present technical and risk‑based information to engineers, management, and senior leadership.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to operational maturity through knowledge sharing, exercises, simulations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with corporate security policies, regulatory requirements, and professional conduct standards.
