Primary Purpose This role will support transmission and substation cyber security related compliance activities, will need to understand and interpret industry and organizationally developed standards and requirements. In this role the incumbent will be expected to have experience with handling or operating, testing and/or programming industrial control systems (e.g. Protection relays, SCADA devices, network switches, etc.); including developing/modifying substation and/or system network schematic diagrams. The Senior Engineer provides technical leadership in the planning, design, and execution of projects involving BGE/Exelon's utility infrastructure including electric transmission, substations, and related systems. This role involves mentoring junior engineers, leading complex engineering studies, and ensuring strategic alignment with safety, reliability, and compliance goals. Work can include: Leading advanced electric, gas, and/or communications system performance analysis and outage investigations Developing and implementing engineering strategies for grid modernization Managing budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for major projects Facilitating cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement Conducting field inspections and resolving high-impact technical challenges May be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies
