  • 5+ years of embedded software development experience, including 5+ years working with TI DSP platforms (C7xxx, C66x, or equivalent).
  • Strong expertise in real-time operating systems such as TI SYS/BIOS, FreeRTOS, or equivalent RTOS environments.
  • Hands-on experience with audio subsystem bring-up, including ALSA, Audio HAL, codec integration, I2S, and SoundWire technologies.
  • Experience with safety-critical embedded systems, including lockstep architectures, safety self-test libraries, and FTTI analysis/modeling.
  • Strong C/C++ development skills in both bare-metal and RTOS-based environments.
  • Experience with TI Code Composer Studio and DSP development toolchains.
  • Proven hardware debugging expertise using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, and related diagnostic tools.
  • Experience with board bring-up, subsystem enablement, and hardware/software integration activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex embedded environments.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support bring-up and integration activities for the DSP subsystem and Safety Processor on the iRDK platform.
  • Own the real-time audio pipeline, including codec integration, Audio HAL enablement, latency characterization, and performance validation.
  • Integrate and validate safety-critical subsystems, including lockstep processing, safety monitors, and fault detection mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with DSP firmware teams, tools support teams, and technology partners to resolve technical challenges.
  • Debug and resolve hardware/software integration issues impacting audio, DSP, and safety subsystem performance.
  • Validate real-time system performance and audio quality against Ok2Book and program acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with hardware, software, systems, and validation teams to support platform integration and product readiness.
  • Participate in board bring-up activities, subsystem enablement, and system-level debugging efforts.
  • Document DSP, audio, and safety subsystem status and readiness for program reviews and milestones.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of embedded software development and validation processes.
