The Sr. Electrical Engineering Manager will supervise and coordinate activities of the Electrical Engineering Department to design, manufacture, and test components, products, and systems by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Location: Staunton, VA or Plymouth, MN – On-site Your Responsibilities: Direct department activities to design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures Resolve problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts Analyze technology trends and market demand for planning projects Manage the timely revision of drawings and bills of material, as required Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products Forecast operating costs of the department and direct the preparation of budget requests Advise management of new developments which may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations Provides direction and example for the interpretation and application of company policies and procedures to the engineering activities Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies that may improve operations, and develop recommendations accordingly Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner Your Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering 8+ years of related experience 5+ years of people supervisor or management experience UL Electrical Standards and Regulations Electrical Modeling and Simulation experience Skilled in Engineering Processes such as DFMEA, DVP&R etc. Preferred Qualifications: HVAC industry experience Experience with motor and VFD design Your Benefits: Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance 401K retirement plan with employer match Paid time off and company-paid holidays Paid sick time in accordance with the federal, state and local law Tuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $138,700-$237,000 + 25% bonus in Virginia and Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • 5+ years of people supervisor or management experience
  • UL Electrical Standards and Regulations
  • Electrical Modeling and Simulation experience
  • Skilled in Engineering Processes such as DFMEA, DVP&R etc.
