About The Position

Last Mile Delivery & Technology is responsible for envisioning and developing forward-looking initiatives to improve the efficiency, speed, quality, and safety of the delivery experience for customers worldwide. Our team is actively seeking highly-motivated innovators who are eager to transform the future of logistics and delivery solutions. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead the electrical architecture, development, and validation of advanced machine vision and compute devices for automotive and industrial applications. You'll work closely with product and operations teams to understand process and business challenges, architect novel solutions, and drive hardware development from concept to production. The ideal candidate demonstrates a hands-on passion for engineering, communicates concepts clearly both verbally and visually, and thrives in a dynamic, highly ambiguous environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
  • Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical architecture and development of consumer, industrial, or automotive electronics
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium, Cadence, or similar)
  • Experience designing complex embedded electronics architectures and interconnections — including SoCs, MCUs, FPGAs, DRAM, storage, digital communication interfaces (e.g., Ethernet, USB, CAN, I2C, SPI), and high-speed routing
  • Experience writing technical documents, project plans, and progress reports

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience leading engineering design projects and interacting with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with design verification and protocol compliance for high-speed and wireless interfaces (e.g., PCIe, USB, Ethernet, MIPI CSI, LTE/5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth)
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, automotive electrical standards, and EMC/EMI mitigation techniques
  • Proficiency with SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar tools for circuit simulation and system modeling
  • Experience evaluating processing pipelines, compute and accelerator resources, and hardware/software integration tradeoffs

Responsibilities

  • Lead electronic system design projects from concept through production
  • Partner across engineering, manufacturing, and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize project requirements while balancing diverse objectives
  • Architect, design, and optimize electrical modules, assemblies, and systems — including design considerations for system integration, manufacturability, testability, reliability, and cost
  • Develop electrical schematics and provide oversight for component placement and layout activities of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) — including component selection, floor planning, signal and power integrity review
  • Perform circuit simulations to analyze functionality and performance under various loading, environmental, and component tolerance scenarios.
  • Develop electrical test plans — including bring up, verification, validation, and interoperability
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement mitigation strategies throughout the product lifecycle — including design modifications, factory test coverage, and maintenance protocols
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and manufacturing partners

Benefits

  • health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage)
  • 401(k) matching
  • paid time off
  • parental leave
  • sign-on payments
  • restricted stock units (RSUs)
